We do research within the Mechanical Engineering Department at UBC. We began operations in 2002 by opening the first hydrogen & fuel cell laboratory at the Clean Energy Research Centre.
Our current efforts are focused on energy systems, fuel cell technology, and hydrogen infrastructures. We also work on refueling systems for fuel cell vehicles in collaboration with the Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation.
In addition to our academic activities, we have completed industrial projects with Ballard Power Systems, DPoint Technologies, and General Hydrogen Corporation. We have also provided short-term consulting services for Greenlight Power Technologies, Angstrom Power, and BC Transit.
